The CURT vertical trailer hitch adapter is designed to turn a vertical receiver into a standard ball mount platform or horizontal receiver tube. A trailer hitch with a receiver tube that points down toward the ground is sometimes preferred on a vehicle because the hitch is then able to be completely hidden from view. With this design, a special ball mount with a vertical shank is required to all make the vehicle ready for towing a trailer or hitch-mounted accessory. This CURT vertical receiver adapter comes with a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" shank and features a gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs. It has a length of 9-1/8" and a drop of 2-1/4". CURT adapters are constructed using our quality manufacturing processes. We CNC-form each unit, weld it together using advanced robotic systems and then mechanically descale every surface to make each adapter smooth to accept a finishing coat. Our adapters receive a durable gloss black powder coat finish to give them excellent rust, chip and UV resistance.

What happens when engineers get creative and bring hydraulic technology into the recovery space? Theres little doubt that the traditional farm jack is a handy piece of equipment to have when youre driving off road. You can use it to move your vehicle out of awkward situations, lifting vehicles to fill in voids beneath the tires or even as a bead breaker when you have to make a tire repair. But, as we all know, farm jacks can be dangerous. Theyre inherently unstable and there are countless YouTube videos of users getting injured from a rogue handle or getting their hands caught between the handle and the body of the jack. With this problem in mind, ARBs team of engineers was determined to come up with a better solution to the unsafe farm jack problem. The focus was to design a safer and easier mechanical jack while being lighter and more compact. Adding a new dimension to traditional techniques, the long-travel ARB JACK is backed by the unique power of hydraulic technology. Kicking into action when even the lightest force is applied to the handle, the hydraulics will smoothly jack the vehicle up at .5in increments with each downward maneuver. While in action, a black rubber body bumper shields the vehicle from risk of damage during the recovery. The easy-to-access red lowering lever ensures lowering the vehicle is achieved swiftly and safely thanks to the two-stage descent feature and safety stop. With the press of a lever, the user is able to adjust the lower speed between a slow or rapid descent. Carefully designed on the basis of matching ergonomic form with safe and reliable functionality, the handles high position and top pivot function provides users with ultimate control while preventing the need to uncomfortably kneel down to operate. CURT 1-7/8" trailer balls are constructed from high-strength steel to match the towing power of your class 1 or class 2 trailer hitch and ball mount and come with fine threads on the shank for improved holding strength. Having a trailer ball that matches your coupler size is absolutely essential. At CURT, we engineer our trailer balls to be precisely fitted. When we stamp 1-7/8" into the top of each hitch ball, we actually mean 1-7/8".This CURT tow ball features a ball capacity of 2,000 lbs. It is able to tow most utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, smaller livestock trailers and some recreational vehicle haulers (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). As with any trailer, be sure that your towing equipment is capable of handling the load before hitching up. This trailer ball also features a 3/4" shank diameter, a 2-1/8" shank length, 0" of rise and a nickel-chrome finish to protect against corrosion and wear.
